Biography

Former Patriots star player Kerri Ryskamp enters her third season as head softball coach with a career record of 55-62 since replacing Kris Cox in October of 2007.

A 2001 graduate of Clearwater Countryside High School, Ryskamp is among the most accomplished student-athletes in Central Florida history. She holds three career hitting records at the school, including home runs (12, tie), slugging percentage (.608), and total bases (178).

Ryskamp went on to star at Mercer University, where was named to an Atlantic Sun all-conference team in each of her two seasons. She hit at least .326 each season and set a school single-season record with 21 doubles in 2004.

In 2006, Ryskamp began her coaching career as a student assistant at Mercer. She returned to Central Florida the following season as an assistant, then took over the program when Cox resigned following the 2007 spring season.
