Patriot Profiles

#3 Jameshia Willis
The Orange Park product squeezes the juice out of every minute she spends on the court. An explosive open-court playmaker and
one-on-one scorer, Willis should emerge as a fan favorite.

#4 Shaunte Forward
This former Cottondale star is a basketball purist’s dream come true, playing a fundamentally sound brand of ball while minimizing mistakes and hustling on every possession.

#5 Keishana Roberts
The former West Port High School star returns home
after a season at Mid-Florida Conference rival Florida State College at Jacksonville. An explosive scorer with great open-court ability and improving deep range,
Roberts is a major new weapon for the Lady Patriots.

#10 Amber Powe
Powe arrives in Florida with a prestigious Mississippi pedigree, having honed her playmaking craft at Ridgeland High School and Mississippi College. She helped the Choctaws to a 22-5 record as a freshman.

#11 Canvis Scott
Hailing from the same Hawthorne program that produced 2008-09 Lady Patriots leading scorer Breanna Fort, Scott has the talent and upside to fill Fort’s shoes in the paint.

#15 Markeshia Grant
The team’s only returning double-digit scorer, Grant will spend her sophomore campaign as the Lady Patriots’ team leader and on-court catalyst. The Tampa-bred point guard averaged 12.5 points, led the team in assists and hit 42 percent of her 3-pointers in an impressive freshman year.

#20 Dakiera Williams
A promising prospect out of Marion County power West Port, Williams brings consistent energy and a valuable set of skills to her hometown program.

#21 Tyeshia Battles
The Lady Patriots look forward to a healthy season from this talented West Gadsden alumna. Battles battled injury throughout her freshman year, and still managed to
produce 7 points and 3.8 rebounds per game. At full strength, those numbers will only go up.

#22 Christa Curry
Curry boasts the kind of prep experience that serves players well at the college level. With a state title to her name via
Miami Norland, this freshman understands what it takes to win.

#23 Olivia Nino
A welcome transfer from powerhouse Tallahassee
Community College, Nino brings a wealth of possibilities to the Lady Patriots’ rebuilt frontcourt. This versatile scorer notched 8.3 points and 3.3 rebounds for the Lady Eagles a year ago.

#32 Dominique Weems
A transfer wing who knows how to play at the college level after a freshman season at Alabama’s Bevill State, Weems pairs a high-energy approach and dedicated
defense with a deadly mid-range offensive game.

#34 Catavia Jones
Among the Lady Patriots’ more intriguing recent recruits, this Minnesota import is a long, slender athlete with an accomplished volleyball background and a state title in hoops.

#44 Caprice Stephens
One of two Minnesota recruits delivered by new Lady Patriots assistant Tim Williams, Stephens is a formidable post presence with the tools to score on the block.
